Chilhowee Boys Off to Hot Start, Defeat LaMonte

The Chilhowee Indians boys basketball team defeated LaMonte 70-53 Monday night.

Chilhowee started strong and led by 11 at the end of the first quarter. LaMonte cut the lead to 7 at the half but the Indians finished off the Vikings with a 21-11 run in the final quarter.

Christian Harness led the Indians with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Junior Dillon Anstine also had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Merced Cisneros chipped in 10 points and 6 boards.

Nick Dallas came off the bench and gave the Indians a big lift with 10 points. Justin Lankford had 6 points and 7 rebounds while Brandon Lankford had 4 points.

Seth Johnson and Trenton Ellis paced the Vikings with 14 points each.

The win improves the Tribe's conference record to 3-0 and overall record to 7-1.

The Indians take their hot start to the Holiday break and will next play December 30th in the Otterville Tournament vs. Russellville.
